Axis Wake Boats are built in the Malibu Factory by the same employees that build Malibu. They use the same gelcoats, building materials and the same skilled people.
Here is Matt Bishop (Axis Guru) explaining the unique building process of Axis boats.
The girls are building Malibu and Axis seat panels
Gelcoat and fiberglass is being laid in the same amounts and materials as Malibu.
Rigging uses the same parts and suppliers.
The final test is where it counts the most ON THE WATER. If you close your eyes you don't know if your driving a Malibu or a Axis.
